Former Democrat Elbert Guillory:
At the heart of liberalism is the idea that only a great and powerful big government can be the benefactor of social justice for all Americans. But the left is only concerned with one thing ó control. And they disguise this control as charity. Programs such as welfare, food stamps, these programs arenít designed to lift black Americans out of poverty, they were always intended as a mechanism for politicians to control the black community

It's kind of hard to debate creationism and leave religion out...

It's really not. Creationism isn't necessarily religious...it's just usually taken that way.

Most certainly. That doesn't mean that creationism (in it's truest form) is inherently religious though.

It really depends on your definition of creationism.

A higher power is not necessarily a religious god.

Exactly,

To argue for Intelligent Design, creationism does not need to be defended.

I think that Ben Stein is just pointing out two easy concepts that are overlooked by Evolutionists.

1. The Universe did not create itself.

2. Evolution does not work.

The Evolutionist may say that we cannot prove that God exists. That is fine because it really isnt nessesary to prove.

Science cannot prove Religion, and it never will.
However, science can disprove science.

So people who support Intelligent design simply prove points 1. and 2. from above.

The true Evolutionist is not searching for the origins of the Universe and life on earth (because he/she already knows the answer). The evolutionist is simply trying to find a way to eliminate God from all theories. The evolutionist will not accept the existence of a God and therefore makes up theories that leave Him out.

The big problem with that is that God does exist, and when you leave him out of the theories, things don't quite add up, and people need to get creative to get rid of him.

Point one is unknown. Point two is incorrect.

It isn't necessary to prove because there is no evidence to support it.

Science has always disproved science. That's the entire point.

Science can, however, disprove many of the things that people believe from religion.

Let me know when they do that.

This doesn't make the slightest bit of sense. Evolutionists don't claim to know the origins of the universe and the earth. In the same sense, evolutionists don't disbelieve in a God/gods either. People don't just "make up theories." Theories are testable and repeatable.

This is again assuming something without any evidence. How do you know your God (or gods) exist? Why do you think scientists are being "creative" with the facts just to disprove your God?

Well, that would depend on what your definition of "is" is.
