Yes buddy. I am familiar with that as well. When Capitol Electric disbanded their fleet service account from Broward Children's went to vetteXperts. Years later this would be how I got my foot in the door at this wounderful Corvette shop. Because I knew these busses and how to service them..

Oh I had all sorts of fun with the busses..

Price value of C8 just dropped.
Just like GM Stock prices have.

C5.R the game changer for GM, Corvette racing, and American Muscle:

Everything since has just been a refinement of this platform for Corvette. for 3 generations. The C8 is gonna be the first real big change in Corvettes design since 1997. They found perfection for a front based midship with the engine up front, trans in the rear, and double wishbone suspension front and rear with the transverse mounted composite springs. It is a combination for success. 22 years and 3 generations of proven success.

The outlook at GM is Grim.
Corvette can not exist without GM.

You said it yourself with nothing more than a 5.3 truck LQ block and a big enough turbo you can make 1,000 hp. And if careful you can do that for under $10k. So why would anybody pay $25-$30k for that in a package that has extremely limited support for custom swap mounts and headers and all the other fun stuff that an engine needs to be put somewhere it doesn't belong.

GM isn't going anywhere. They are going through some changes but then so are all. There is a nice thing about this in that it might drive GM to squeak a few more hp out of the next model Corvette.

why not save a few thousand dollars,
from the price of that super charged mopar,
just go old school... stick with a non-supercharged BBC crate engine
and skip having to deal with a super charger

Woa. The baddest crate GMPP sells, the LSX454R only runs 13:1 comp. That thing has to sound like an earthquake just idling.
