Need help identifying where this part goes

I was removing the heater core from a 96 and this part fell out. I can't find any hose or connection on the case. I don't want to start reinstalling things until I find out where it goes. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Look to the fire wall and you will see a hole that it goes into. It is for draining off the water from the condensation of the AC.

Should be a hole far passenger side below the fan cage as I recall.
