Looks like a great place to unwind.

I had a college roommate from the Rochester area that had a vacation place on Canandaigua Lake, and a residence on Lake Ontario. Awesome part of the country.

Fireworks from the dock?

I just bought a grand worth....I will still be way outgunned. Last year I bought $500 worth and I thought I would put on a good show. Dozens and dozens of skyrockets. Every time we launched a sky rocket the neighbors down the lake shot off a grand finaly. We ran out of rockets but they did not run out of thier stuff for quite a while later.

No competetion this year. I will shoot off what I have and enjoy the show from my neighbors.

PS: Canandaigua is two lakes to the west of us...about 1/2 an hour away. Seneca (the lake our house is on) is the deepest (650 feet) of the finger lakes, and the second longest at 38 miles, and holds approximatly 4.2 trillion gallons of water, by far the most. Because the lake is so deep it never freezes and so it affects the climate of the area which is why we are also surrounded by wineries.

A friend of mine is a slum lord in Geneva... he owns about 70 POS houses that he rents and sometimes sells. I drop in to see him once in a while. (he lives in a nice house of course)

Last year I stayed near watkins glen for a few days, visited wineries etc.

I grew up on Lake Ontario and spent many hours fishing on all the finger Lakes.

I even went to the "Summer Jam" concert in 1973 at Watkins Glen Race track. The town still talks about that weekend.

I go to that area every October for several reasons.

Foliage, friends, wine, apples.

People have no idea how beautiful that area is.

Looks like a great time. I've spent some time on the Daltons up there and it's fantastic any time of year.
Enjoy!
