It's interesting that the slots on the Brembo rotors contact the pads outer edge first. On DBA rotors, the inner edge of the slots contacts the pads first.

BTW nice driving!

Great video. Great sounding Z06.

The last pass in the video that was red flagged was a great run. Two very fast cars. Not sure if Viper got out of it, but the Z06 was reeling him in.

These guys were in shock. We were pitted at the last pit out away from the Archer and Hennesey camps. I took car of the car between sessions while John mixed and mingled. As soon as John would walk away people would come over to look at the car and ask questions. They were in dis-belief after the first session on Slick and a couple came over to ask about weight reduction Mods (there is none).

Very cool weekend. Great driving by John and an awesome Z06 that is less radical than half the Z06s John builds for street rides. He knows he will be challenged next time and in his words "I guess I will have to bring a bigger gun next time."

Next video will probably be Sept. when John, SW and a couple of other Corvette guys will get togther at TWS. I may have some incar sooner than that but I do not think John will run in August.

Great video and fantastic driving!!!! But why do you have to drive with the windows open?? Here in Europe that would be considered as a safety risk.

This event was a HPDE and driver's are required to give hand signals to cars coming up to pass to insure safety. It is a trip going 150plus with the windows open. Of course the cars would be faster with the windows up.

Hand signal? Sounds kind of crazy. Here - like on the Nurburg ring - we use our rear right turn signal to indicate that it's safe to pass.

Yep, I agree but if I have to leave my window open to get some track time so be it. It was a unique experience the first time I went 150 with the windows open.

I have not seen any roofs blow off at the track

The rear tires are bigger than the fronts but because the C6 fenders were designed for 19inch wheels it creates an optical illusion where the rears appear smaller than the fronts. the Wheels are: 18x10 and 18x13 with 285 30s front and 345 30s on the rear.

It's almost comical the way the Vipers "put up a little fight" then wave you by. Nice driving !!!
