Notice that our cars are soooo hot, that they now have to repair the asphalt where we parked.

Maybe you could start your own local DC meet up there. Plenty of vette owners would like to see the ZR1 and swap stories.

Great lunch! Thanks Tom!

Thanks for taking and uploading the pics Vaughn. My car doesnt seem THAT much lower than your car in pictures. I should try to see if I could get it up your driveway. It's actually not that bad, because the whole springrate and damping is firmer, so the car doest compress onto the concrete like it did when I lowered it before PFADT.

Bob: We got plenty of lookers when we were cruisin! We need to roll that way more often.

Wish I could have been there too. I think I will try to organize a lunch up here soon. Snow could be flyin' in a couple months.

Any time "V". We should take a drive every once in a while and stretch the legs of our Corvettes, get a pizza and talk about how we're going to re-open OC Lambo!

Nice picture. It reminds me, I need to look and see who made my engine? I haven't looked at that yet.

You know I'm all for it! Give me a call, or PM when you're free! We gotta get the ZR1 out at least one more time before it gets stuck garaged for a couple months.

Didn't mean to say it was slammed ... just lower. I notice the tires fill the wheel wells nicely with less space between the tires and the wheel well openings. Did the angle also change? Was the rear dropped more than the front so that the car is more level now?

Regardless, it looks great.

Thanks! What I meant was I kind of wanted it semi-slammed. Like Ferrari F40LM low. So it didnt seem to be that low to me yet. You really need a set of these on your car, I'm SURE you'll love it! Not just handling improvement, but it's just such a sweetheart to drive now.

I'm not sure if the rake angle is changed much from factory, but I kept it within what PFADT recommended to me. It's just a half inch lower overall than the PFADT settings with no change to angle.

Went to XLNT TINT on LaPalma in Anaheim today to find out what the smudges are on the windows. After close inspection by the boss (Mike) I was told it is the ceramic trying to get around the curved glass of the corvette windows. They said I'm the second or third Corvette customer to have a modeling effect that appears to be between the tint and the glass. Mike explained that "Ceramic" was not originally designed for cars because of the curves, however many cars and trucks have little bend in the glass so the ceramic tints work just fine. In the Corvette the ceramic has trouble bending (like trying to gift wrap a basketball).

XLNT Tint in Anaheim CA gave me the best solution possible after much conversation. They offered to redo the ceramic or replace it with "Carbon". Mike's professional opinion was to replace with carbon so I agreed.

This is what they did:

1) Removed all ceramic tint from the car.

2) Installed Carbon tint on the 3 windows.

3) Refunded to me $250 for the difference between the two.

4) Told me my warranty was still intact from my purchase.

5) Charged me nothing and apologized for the inconvenience.

I don't think it could have been handled any more professionally!

I would highly recommend this shop if you live in the S.Cal area.
