new girlfriend, new (to me) Corvette

after losing my fiancee after a long battle with breast cancer in late 2012, I began coming out of my shell in 2014:
some members may recall that she allowed me to take & post photos of her before she became ill

in the last year of her life (when we were told she was in-remission, but still had a long way to go), we agreed to sell our '82 Corvette, put the money in an envelope, and once she was better, we would buy a newer, more-friendly Corvette:
instead, the envelope sat in my office desk

I began dating a girl (honestly, a 55 year-old grandmother) in mid-2014, and in June of 2015, I bought a 2003 Electron Blue coupe, keeping the promise I'd made 3 years earlier:
we've had an extremely wet Summer in Florida, getting caught in the rain every time we've taken it out for a ride, but last Friday it stayed dry long-enough for me to take a few quick photos before we had dinner

they aren't the greatest photos (the setting sun bleached-out the colors & details), but this was my first time using a new camera, and the cooler, dry season is now upon us, so I anticipate more photo-ops in the coming weeks:
I'll post future photos in this thread as they are taken

no, she doesn't look 55... my neighbor thought she was 35-37, and accused me of 'robbing-the-cradle'

she loves the Corvette (but doesn't yet understand why I am so particular about where it is parked), and is looking forward to when I begin drag racing my Z28 in the near future:
here she is posing with Funny Car driver Chad Head at a January test session in Florida

If that is robbing the cradle, I want to go to the same nursery you went to

when we first saw the Corvette, I decided that I'd like to pursue buying it, except I was leaving the next day on business, so when I returned a week later, I called the dealership, but the same salesman didn't recall me or my name:
after stumbling for several minutes, trying to remember our previous conversation about the Coupe, he exclaimed

"WAIT A MINUTE... are you the guy with the girlfriend who is blonde, and has legs???"

... I've been remembered for worse things...

That's funny, but I can see why he would remember her.
