Disappointed

Matter of opinion...

Hood has to go...
Split side vents interrupt the lines...and, what's with the emblem? No advertisement should be needed for this ride.
Rear "wing" should have been an integral part of the rear end or functional similar to the Porsche...

Too bad but on the plus side, hope she keeps the lead in performance....

Ok and the hood has a opening to see the inside engine and whats there a PLASTIC COVER. are you serious a Plastic cover, that bad @#@# LS9 under the hood with... a supercharger and we get to see a plastic cover to look at............ With all the hype on performance, what about the cockpit ?, what about the driver ? I thought after all these years of studying our adversaries, Ferrari, Porche, Lamborghini...etc. you thought we could have learned something from them, on how to embrace the owner of the most ultimate sports car on the planet..... The one one time the factory could at least taken a hint from the vette tuners...... Makes one wounder is the beginning of the end. Just like another car, GM never listen to the owners about certain large hump in the passenger floor of the car. And how comfortable it was to deal with.........
If you watched the ultimate factories series, you could have seen the Ferrari factory and the corvette factory back to back. The price for that beautifull interior in the Ferrari comes out of the frame design. If you saw the Ferrari frame next to the Corvette Z06 frame you would be much more impressed with the Z06 and I am sure you would excuse the plastic interior. GM has done a great job with the Corvette for the last dozen years or more. They put the money where it counts.

No WOW for Me!

I see so many people going crazy over the ZR1 but other than more carbon fiber and a supercharged motor nothing is different. To tell you the truth before spending 100k I rather put a supercharger on the current ZO6 and some modifications. All the hype and not much more than what we see. Its terrible that Chevy couldn't change more of it and put bigger scoops or more design into the side panel. I am sure this car is very fast, but I'm not happy with little change. Please made the C7 something to talk about.

Hate the ZR1 badges! Think one on the rear is enough etched into the panel like Corvette is would have been enough. And Why not put the 3rd brake light above the glass on the roof like the C4 ZR-1? Overall a nice design, but in the end Chevy and GM lack in the finishing details. JMHO!

I like what GM has done with it's 100K pricetag. It's right in between "barebones" race car and "luxury" riding car.

If you think about it,anything they would have "upgraded" ie: interior triming to leather, would have brought up the price.Maybe they are planning for "extras"(options) later on.
GM is limiting the production which is also good.I'm sure they wanted to be on top of the HP quest and still turn a profit, which is a good thing.I know that "tuners" can get you the horsepower for cheaper but that's a whole other topic.

I think the subtle changes are good enough, after all it is supposed to be a C6 and not a C7.The only thing I still have to get used to is the window in the hood...I'm sure it will grow on me.... ........

Thumbs up! Love the Gray

Great pics! Thanks! I especially love the gray. I don't understand why they dropped that color. IMHO - it's really sharp looking.

Distinctive enough anyone remotely familiar with the C6 and ZO6 will instantly see the difference - and turn green with envy immediately! Whew! In that dark smoke paint, this car reigns supreme! Nice job, Chevrolet!

I'm afraid I can't agree with you. When you read the information given at the press release carefully, you will notice that everything has been optimized for performance on the ZR1!

well go ahead and abuse me BUT....I don't like it. I prefer the C6 or ZO6 body. I don't like the lines, hood, spoiler and wheels. I'm sure it's wicked but I'd build another 600hp c6 before I would buy one. Just my .02
