In regard to the new rotors, I used about 6-8 and 1/2 I had to rebore. I just finished up a set of 31's last weekend and the new NAPA rotors fit but I still face the star wheels shorter so that makes a big difference. I can't say if the new rotors would have still fit with the length they come in out of the box.
