Growing up with a father who was a Chevrolet dealer, I always enjoyed the new car shows. Dad would get the new model year cars and hide them under a tarp in our garage until the "unveiling". This would draw people in from around the area. Obviously this was way before the Internet and spy photos.
I felt privileged to be someone who saw them before everyone else. I even remember my dad allowing me to order the new cars by typing into the computer terminal (early 80's) the RPO codes.
This is a major change for the Corvette, but to me it feels a bit like when the C4 came out. Revolutionary and cutting edge. Now the question is will Chevrolet put out laser discs to promote the new car like they did for the C4?
