The C8 is in the details and Jalopnik impresses

Digital Corvettes was, by almost a YEAR, the first to show detailed drawings of the C7 side, 3/4 front and back views. Patrick's sources were dead on and all us on the DC team were certain we were looking at the next Corvette (and we were).

Jalopnik was #2 to offer up extremely similar looking drawings almost a year later, of the same car. At the same time other, more mainstream auto industry publications were publishing nowhere-near renderings of the C7.

I mention this not as a prelude to a Jalopnik drawing, but as a compliment to Jalopnik for their Corvette diligence. Now they have done a seemingly better job at investigative reporting than we have seen in a very long time. They scoured the internet looking for references by automotive suppliers for purchases made for a GM project named "ZERV (?Zora Engineering Research Vehicle??).

Jalopnik discovered an aluminum "halo"/rollbar for the ZERV along with sun visors, seat belts, and .... well you might as well read their article. After all, they did all this work, not me:
https://jalopnik.com/heres-everythin...tte-1828418246

BTW, Jalopnik also mentions the existence of a Y2XX project. They imply this is a second Front engine project. Back in its "project" days, the C7 was named Y1XX. Maybe this is a mild update to the C7 or maybe it is a hip pocket, slow moving project based on the C7 that could be fast-tracked into production if Us Corvette Faithful turn up our noses to the rear mid-engine C8.

Corvette ownership is like owning your own fountain of youth ... and we get a sip from it each time the signal turns green.

RACING...Because with baseball, football, basketball, tennis, and golf, you only need one ball

I used to think that I had learned patience as I got older. Then I realized that I just didn't give a shit

If energy and enthusiasm were a substitute for experience and expertise, then I could hire my 12 year old to do this job.
