Turn key-just clicks

I have a 2000 roadster. 3 or 4 random different times, I've turned the ignition key to start the car, and it just clicks or does nothing. Then if you turn to off position and try again it starts and runs. Security system? Or starter? Only has 30000 miles on car

I used to think that I had learned patience as I got older. Then I realized that I just didn't give a shit

Check all your connections on the battery, cables to ground and at the starter. Seems like a loose connection. Your symptoms are similar to a weak battery.
