The driver of this C4 Corvette attempted to do a U-turn across 6 lanes of traffic and ended up causing a 5-vehicle crash in a suburb of Houston:

Hate to say it but a u-turn across 6 lanes of traffic = this dumbass got what he deserved. Hate to see a destroyed vette and feel sorry for the other drivers involved, but stupid is stupid.

Those C4's have a very strong full perimeter frame.
Often confused for a Uni body car.
C4 Deep side frame rails did their job protecting the driver.
C4 Vette did not collapse in 2 crushing the driver in half.

I have seen C5's hit similar & driver fell through the plywood- balsa wood floor. The seat saved him them.

I remember a real bad wreck towed into work at my old job in 2002. Local lawyer I went to high school with got drunk one night and drove home in his 2001 Dodge Intrepid.
Drove home on a backroad - "Witches Road".
He was flying around 110 mph & went off the road & hit a tree 4 feet in diameter.
Car went up the tree 30 feet and came back down in the woods.
Car was crushed in half pinning my old friend inside.
Came to work & seen the Intrepid on the flatbed & recognized the car.
Blood was dripping everywhere yet.
Cheap azz fucking car.
If he was in a Vette he would have lived.
& not drinking too.

Yeah that driver in the C4 was dumb.
He should have punched the gas to the floor & spun back around 180.
Amateur driver.
I have done U- turns too in my 87 Vert......
Don't fuck around if there is traffic........punch the gas & go.
