order status codes

EVENT CODES AND THEIR MEANINGS

Every dealer has the ability to monitor the progress of a specific order as identified by its order number (6 digits) assigned upon order generation to the dealership. Here are the event codes that a dealer can view and their meaning:

1100-Order Accepted-"Preliminary Order Status" of VOMS (Vehicle Order Management System)
2000-Order has been sent to the Placed Tab of VOMS
2001-Order generated to dealer
2005-Order replaced with GM Prospec order
2050-Order changed
2500-Order sent to production, preferenced
3000-Order accepted by production control
3100-Order available to sequence(Target Production Week becomes more stable).
3300-Order selected for production by assembly plant
3400-Order broadcasted for production
3800-Vehicle produced
4150-Vehicled invoiced to dealer
4200-Vehicle shipped
5000-Vehicle delivered to dealer
6000-Vehicle delivered to customer

I hope this is what you are looking for.

The question is, How do you find out what code your car is currently in.

Just ask the dealer to keep you updated?
Or is there a way to watch it on your own.

A few months ago any dealer could check for you but the system has been changed so you must work with the dealer that ordered the car.

In my opinion the codes mean nothing because your TPW (target production week) can change up until that date. Some dealers in other forums started this to make it look like they were doing something special, but sometimes corvettes are built or shipped before the codes change. To get more information call the dealer the wednesday of the TPW and they can call a number and find out if and when your Corvette was built and when it is expected to arrive to the dealer.

Is this a complete list that the dealer can check? The GM Order Workbench "Final Allocation by Week" report shows the schedule of the dates that GM will pull the orders. It is always on a Thursday. On this date an 1100 code is given along with an order #. Up thru Saturday, changes can be made by the dealer. Ex: If the dealer now has a buyer, it can be changed from spec to include the buyer and his changes.

Somewhere, I read that after Saturday an 1101 code is given. This supposedly means that the order was actually accepted by GM. Is this code valid and are there others? Can the customer somehow check these status codes or order # if he has the dealer's BAC # and / or password?

Thanks for any help.

I emailed my dealer tonight. I'm in Virginia and ordered in North Carolina.
I'm getting restless, my Z06 suppose to be here about mid Feb. and I
want to know the status of my order. I asked for an order #, status
code and/or a TPW. Maybe I get a reply tomorrow.

This might help check status

Not sure if Kevin still has this job, but a while ago a customer could call him at BG Assembly and get a status update on their order. But you must get your order number from your dealership before calling Kevin.

Try calling 270-745-8372.

I've had my Z06 almost three months now but it was delayed a short time.
Mine was also bayed, I was told. It went through some kind of quality
audit. Which is a good thing, when you get your Z06 it should be very close
to perfect. I took being bayed for a delay which in my case was a quality
audit. You will love it when you get it.
