That trip out west a couple of weeks ago almost turned the front of my car into another color, that same yellow some guys like to order directly from the factory! I had to wash my car for over an hour when I arrived in San Diego and then again when I got back home. I'm really happy I had that Venture Shield clear bra installed on the front, it was amazing how well it protected the paint!

So, when you gettin' your Z51, I thought you had a lot of other projects going on? Yep, order the car with the stock painted wheels and then call Craig (Radical Wheels) after you get it, it ends up costing less to own two sets of wheels than just ordering the polished from the factory.

Next time I come out I want "you" to be there with the rest of the Vette boys so we can all share street stories!!!!

PS:
Craig sells the chrome Z06 wheels with the right offset for the standard C6.

Work / Family / Projects = My Time is not my own.

My Dad goes in for a Pacemaker/defibralator on Thurs. Supposed to be almost routine - they say.

The El Camino should be ready for paint in a couple of weeks. Just a couple of electrical niggy naggies and a little interior stuff left. I just found out the 79 vette is doomed to a California life time of smog devises thanks to CARB. Nevertheless, the L-82 needs a rebuild and the body is read for paint. Both jobsto be farmed out so it's just a matter of my $$, not my time. By August, God willing and creek don't rise I'll be ready to devote time to shining a new C6.

Good to know about the off set. I've seen some pics that show the Z06 wheels/tires sticking out over an inch past the edge of the fenders. Tough on paint. As I get closer, I'll give him a call.

I assume you'll let us know on the "other thread" when you plan to come out here again. Sorry to have missed the visit.

You could always move to Arizona where we have no such requirements!

PS:
Thousands of people have pacemakers installed every year, it is a pretty normal procedure.

Installed - is that the right word to use?

Yeah, even my Dad laughed when I asked the doc if he could give me a remote control for the defib capability. He's "up" for it.

When I was a kid, I lived in Casa Grande for 7 years. Then we moved to Palmdale for 6 years. I think I'm deserted out for life.

Prescott is not really desert, I have to keep reminding people that Prescott is a mile high city (5500ft) and it is nothing like Phoenix, Tucson or Casa Grande. Thus the reason why so many Californians are fleeing here!

I'm actually at the 6000ft elevation enjoying the view and living far above all the desert critters! Unfortunately with the air a little thinner up here I don't get to feel all the power my Z06 produces, but wow did I feel a difference in power when I visited the coast two weeks ago!
