When Gingerman is doing their own OTD, they don't allow passengers, but the rule depends on the organizers. (ummm, their insurance providers, I guess)

I think Ivan was talking about ride-along, so I believe he was planning to allow passengers.

Like Ivan says, my first track day ever was with DC in 2008. (May 5th, to be exact) Ever since then, I play golf about 5 times a year. I'm still not that good, but I'm definitely hooked.

But be warned... Once you experience the dark side, your life may never be the same.

Oh,, other makes/models allowed? If so, some of my friends would be interested in it too.

There is a rule I don't understand here:

Quote:
Helmets must be wearing a helmet at all times while driving/riding on the track
Do I have to buy a helmet for my helmet

Also

Quote:
If you fail to let cars pass you because you are not aware of them nor the flags being displayed, you will be black flagged in order to help you
If I am not aware of the flags, how can I be aware of the black flag????

By the way, do I need to have gloves?

No that is a typo. It should say drivers and passengers

You will see the flags. They are near the last straight.

As for gloves I do not remember. Maybe Ivan or Jaymsu remembers

If you are specifically black flagged, trust me you won't miss it - the flagman will lean out of the flag station and wave it and point it right at you. If you see this flag you pit immediately and you'll be told what the problem is. You should be made aware ahead of time where the flag stations are......first couple of laps take it easy and concentrate on learning the track and where and what the flags mean. It sounds like a lot, but you'll get it!

You don't need gloves unless you want to drive with them - I prefer not to use them - the more contact I have with the car, the more I feel like I'm part of it.....but that's just me.

MAN, I wish I could race with you guys!!!!

All of the tracks require a driver's meeting in the morning and there is where they go over flags and safety on the track. Very important to be able to obey what the flagmen show you. Could be telling you to stop so you don't run into a crash ahead, tell you to let people pass, etc... They will tell you at the track.

We would have to have 200+ cars there for Adam's to sponsor me. I don't think that many cars are going to show... or am I wrong?
