Location: At HQ, plotting over a detailed MAP on how I can be on the racetrack as much as possible.

Geezzz Shipping a car takes forever. I have got to stop being so cheap. Not going to happen. The car is at the pick up station. They should be calling me tomorrow. I will pick it up on Wednesday. My only day in the week I can break away from work.

Having a C5 is WAY cheaper than my money pit pig ZO6. I love my Z I got all 4 rotors for the C5 for 192 shipped. They are Centrics. Performance Friction Brake pads. The 99's racecompound, 115.00 I am now in the market for a floorjack.

I have never really worked on my cars before. All I have been doing is reading up on the proper procedure to change fluids. I'm getting Speed Bleeders and the braided lines will be here this week. I hope to be on the track soon!!!

Not only is it a better feeling knowing that my Z won't be crashed up on the track. The C5 is going to be more than 50% cheaper on everything, from tires to brakes than the Z.

right on.

I get a ton of satisfaction from doing all my own maintenance. Not just on the 'vette, but on the DD Jeep as well. And it sure as hell beats paying dealer rates for labor!

Optimists think the glass is half full.
Pessimists think the glass is half empty.
Engineers realize it's twice as big as it needs to be.

The amount they want to change all the fluid is 2 track days. It beats the whole purpose of this car to pay a dealer to maintain it.

Update: I have found that the cheapest part of all this is the car. Everything else is $$$$$$$$$$$. If you are serious about having a track car and thinking it won't be that expensive, you're wrong. The only option would be a Miata.
