Tech2 problem - change Region code and Onstar ?

Hello,

I need some help. I have a 2009 ZR1. The car is a US model. I need to change the Region Code of the car and I would like to deactivate Onstar.

I have found someone with a Tech2 and I have also a card with the GM NAO version 33.004 ...
So we tried to change these settings but even after an hour of research I can’t find to correct menu tree where I can change this settings. I found them in a menu from the Navigation system but I’m not able to change them there. I can select one with a start but not more ...

Did anyone know where to find the exact menu point to change this settings and or how to do it exactly ?

Thank you very much.

Greetings,
Pascal

Your likely need to visit your local Chevrolet Dealership in Belgium or Germany.

Do you think it's not possible to do it itself with a Tech2 ?
That's what the dealers use too or not ?

Thanks,
Pascal

You need full access to the Main GM Technician online software.
I remember doing it.
Been out of the GM Dealerships since 2007.

Actually, a Tech II is largely sufficient, you don't need anything else.

Thanks Fluffy,

You have a nice thread for the EU conversion … I have done nearly the same.
Now I need just to reprogram the Region Code … but I don't find the correct option in the Tech2. I just need someone who has more experience in Tech2 and who know the way to do …

This isn't something the DealerShip knows how to do.

If you come to Paris let me know. I will probably be going to Luxembourg on a business trip soon. Amsterday end of month for sure.
