I am waiting on hardware before I can really work on the internals and now I am waiting on more silk silver PLA before I can start printing the head castings so I am jumping around to see what some of the other external pieces are gonna look like. I printed this LH exhaust header on my home made printer, Printalicious..

Because my Black Widow printer is spending the next 20 hours printing out the intake manifold..

That's looking great. I'm afraid Id have to complain to GM Customer Service about the excess casting marks on the intake. The resolution doesn't look so good in the pic.

The parts I ordered from https://www.makerrx.com/ have shown up. Here is how the LS3 hardware kit comes packaged..

And here are the timing 'chain' the valve springs, and the rod, main, and camshaft bearings..

Now i can start working on the crank and the cam. But first, I need a stand to bolt the block to. Here is how the engine stand arrived..

So i have my work cut out for me before i can even get this motor on a stand. Looks like i might need the dremel.

I can do better. I printed the intake with a 0.4mm diameter nozzle and 0.2mm layer height. I could change nozzles to a 0.2mm and command a 0.025mm layer height. It will just take days to print. But should look flawless.

And here are a few pictures of the crankshaft sitting in the block..

I still have to fit and run a drill bit through the holes on each of the main caps to get the crank locked in place. And then I can start on the rods and pistons. I still have to build the engine stand at some point here, too.
