brand-used (new to me at least) daily driver...

tired of smashing through foot deep potholes and
the bone jarring, teeth rattling, parts breaking, rim
bending ride of the roads round here.

so im going back to the roots. i started out in a 79
blazer 4x4, and 30 yrs later im about to debut the
new one. this ones an 82, only a 350 for now but im
CERTAIN a 454 will find its way in there at some point.

already ditched the 700R4 P.O.S. trans for a th350, and
its got a 3/4 ton 8 lug dana44 front and full float 1 ton
corporate 14 in rear. a foot of lift and 36" swampers, and
im almost there. just gotta jump thru the hoops and get
paperwork (recon, safety, registration, etc....) done and
shes ready to rumble.

the wife (she names all our cars for some reason) has
dubbed it "the war wagon". i like it.......

Nice score Zinc. One of the best 4x4 I ever had was an older Blazer. 350/ 4 sp. That thing would go anywhere. Like a fool I sold it

I used to think that I had learned patience as I got older. Then I realized that I just didn't give a shit

Doomsday Truck Zinc.
I like it.
May want to keep the 350 SBC In yet .
Gas prices supposed to be $3.00 A gallon here by Summer.
87 octane so 93 will be near $4.00 per gallon.
Square Body Trucks are in now.
That is Real nice the K5.

Roads are getting bad around here too Zinc also.
Chicago Democrats stole all the Fucking $$$$$.

Roads around my Farmhouse are still decent yet.
Think Route 80 going to Chicago is OK yet.

Been 6 months now since I went to Joliet for work.
Working local now 25 miles away instead of 70 miles one way in.

Been 6 months since I drove the 87 C4 Roadster.
Started it yesterday & let it run.

Been working on the 70 T/A.
Spending $$$$.

No Prep Street Racing is in.
No Time clocks.
Fastest and best driver wins.
Corvette just a bad choice unless you have $50K + to dump into.

It sucks hitting potholes at speed in a Corvette.
You think holy Fuck as my head bounces off the convertible top.
Nothing has ever broke luckily.

The 1999 Chevy Tahoe goes right over all the Bullshit roads.

The 1963 Pontiac Grand Prix I can do 100-120 and if I hit a Pothole it glides right over like nothing.

i looked for 6 years for a rust free one here. this one had
both rockers, both fenders, both doors, hood & tailgate
changed then painted and stashed in his moms garage
for the last 5 years. luckily he put title in storage so no
back taxes. he started it every month so it was a runner
to boot !

had to pay more than i wanted too but i think it was still a
good deal at $7k..........

heres how it looked when i found it, man, was it humongus.
its still HUGE...hey wait--thats what she said !!!
