Just another mule like the rest, including the first transporter shot. The rear cover is even ballooning identically. The quarter panels and the wheels are probably real. Other than that, anything- including the roof, rear glass and door skins- could be different.

It's hard to imagine GM being upset by any of this.

It's a Chop that appears to be wrong - if we are "reading" the Spy pic correctly, the scoop will be completely in the front fascia leaving the hood with a pretty "stock" appearance. If this is the case in production, it could be to minimize drag numbers.

It is likely that the hood will be Carbon Fiber anyway, so there is no motivation to keep the same design as the Targa / vert, except that design was, no doubt, subject to many hours of windtunnel testing. Perhaps a higher hood scoop at the fascia creates tubulence.

Or ...

Perhaps the cammo just keeps foolin' us. After all, if the auxiliary opening really is at the top of the Fascia, won't that front license plate mount completely block the center of the intake? The mount would, at the very least, deflect at least a foot wide swath of air directly OVER a center scoop. Before you start telling me not to mount it, remember that we have been told that the mount was put there for air intake efficiency and to avoid over heating (I say BS, but that's what they told us). A GM engineer also stated very resolutely that the fugly mount WILL be used on the Z06 also.

Possibilities:
1. Fascia is lower than hood line for complete distance between headlights.
2. No scoop at all. The front "grill" opening is opened up significantly larger avoiding the need for a scoop? also avoids Viper look comments
3. The cammo is nothing like what we will see so it is impossible to make any accurate guesses.
4. Something else?

That red ZO6 is freakin amazing, i hope thats what it looks like but with bigger fender flares and a slight lip spoiler on the rear.

Damn, thats way better looking then those "fake" ZO6's seen in the spy photos. There is no way those spy photos are correct.

Is a front License Plate required in Arizona?

I am hoping not, cause Id be damned if I would ruin my brand new C6 with something that hideous.

My mistake. I could have sworn I saw "Diane" on one before, and since 'i' is next to 'o,' well I thought it was a simple typo.

I've noticed that police tend to not harass Corvette drivers for no front plate... they know what the bigger crime is. My friend has a truck that he's customizing, and he took off his front plate. Within a week, he got pulled over for no front plate. Me, I've gone three years without a single incident.

Worst-case scenario, you pay a $60.00 fine for the first offense. No big deal, IMO.

they need to model the hood scoop after the c6r, if they put a little scoop on the end of the nose then im afraid i will really dislike the looks of the front, not that it matters at all what i like

especially in light of how small a piece of the car the hood is i suppose i could replace it

spoiler

I agree about the larger spoiler, that string in the back is just laying there. Also that roof looks fixed to me. I just hope the intake scoop makes the car look aggressive. If this is a Z06 how are the mythical C6R gonna look?

There is a scoop in the front fascia!

On the red Z06 pic.... move the scoop down so you can see a strip of color across the top of it. Also, stretch the openning and make it slimmer.

Exaggerate the side flares by 30%....

We are getting close then..

Just saw the Motor Week shots. They appear to be the same mules we've seen before but with less masking. The surprise is that these cars had neither a front scoop or a rear spoiler.
