I forgot to mention that there's a rubber stop on each end of the rear half shaft asymbly, you can trim that down and it'll smoothin out the ride without having to raise up the car, the bumbby feel your having is becuase of those stops bottoming out on the fram and half shafts asymbly.

If I trim them how much do I take off?
How much of the bounce will this take care of? It was so bad that I felt like I was getting car sick.

Good question, not all of the rubber of course, trim I say about a least half of it away, that should be good, you can trim a litttle more away but I dont think it'll be nessasary for you to have to.

It will ride pretty close to stock, a little more stiff but not that much though, it'll be much better then it was without trimming it away.

It will ride like stock even though it is so slammed? I hope so I loved it lowered. I had only an 1nch between the tire and fender all around. If what you are saying is true that it will ride like stock Im game.

Mine rides ruffer than stock, but i have a 4 inch drop, less than a finger between the tires and fender lip. Most of my problem is i still have the origanal shocks on the car,it's been this low for 3 years now,i need to get some custom shocks for my ride height.I will say this,my extreme drop and the ZO6 wheels and tires,my car carves corners like mad,my friends 99 Trans-am with sub frame connectors,drop,QA-1 full adjustable coil overs, adjustable pan hard rod, strut brace and more almost wrecked/bad when trying to keep up with me on an uphill windy road.He had to pull over for about 15 minutes as the wreck would have been fatal.
Many more have tried and failed too, even a mini-copper tried (same driver as the T.A.-what a joke).
I get good lauches at the strip too, just need better traction to better the 60 times even more.

It wont ride like exactly like stock, it'll be asking to much for any car dropped that low to exspect that from as much a drop, but it will ride much, much better then it would if you didnt cut out the rubber bump stops, "pretty close".

Sorry about miss quoting you. I want to try it soon. With it lowered the way it is now it rides good alittle rough but I like it. I just want it to stay with this ride quality and have it lowered like before.

lowered !!

Thanks for all the info from this thread, I lowered mine today at my buddies garage, took 20 min's at each end. Did not have to remove wheels on front or unbolt anything and even though car is a 2000 bolts were easy to move. Car lowered 1.5 inches and looks great. the ride actually seems better on the rough roads in my town and handles better. The right front took about 20 min's of driving around to settle the other 3 corners came down right as I drove off the hoist. Thanks again for all the info and the great pics !!!! Post pics soon.

WOW! I'm exhausted after reading that thread!

Personally, I don't see how you avoid tearing up the bottom of your cars by such drastic mods.

I lowered mine on stock bolts. Approximately 3/4 of an inch. Even with such a slight mod, I still scrape backing out of my driveway on the curb.

Amazing
