That's Funny Gunny.
There is way install a Solid axle diff into our C4s and have it hung by the stock transverse leaf spring.
Been done at least once.
Never did catch on.
4-link superior.
It is nice being able to hold your foot on the floor and never lift off the gas pedal and power steer out of death situations.
Just can not put too much power into those IRS Diffs on Launch drag.
But at high speeds Corvettes do great stuff.
Gunny Road Race on streets and highways.

More from GM President Mark Reuss on this FACT (not a rumor now) about the Corvette's new Global B electrical architecture, which is shared with the new Cadillacs, and about that ECU...and all GM cars by 2023:
"...the cybersecurity component is very, very robust. Global B I think is going to be the standard of the industry in terms of the encrypted messaging that travels on our bus between modules. There's a clean side and dirty side to that."
...and...
"I don't wanna cut anybody out from an aftermarket standpoint, but we have to pick and choose who are the good guys."
Reuss was addressing the threat of vandals hacking systems as we have seen on Teslas. The Cybersecurity of the Global B system has been designed to serve the next decade of GM vehicles, capable of supporting advanced driver aids like Super Cruise, full autonomy, far greater and connectivity that enables features such as over-the-air updates, the growing importance of cloud computing, and electric vehicles.

Also never possible on any production Corvette accurate 4-wheel scale the car + - 1 lb per wheel corner.
Be able to compensate exact for individual drivers actual weight.
A true edge such as Lemans to Win.
Also some limited drag racing.
It's a Magnetic fluid shock also.
Go from a Road Race calibration shocks to ultra soft street cruising to 90/10 drag race.
Computer controls all in nano seconds time .

Lord Brian, they're just coilovers. Don't get too excited. Been around a long time. They were possible in a C4.

They have been known to snap off in battle or hitting potholes at speed coil over shock conversions too.
Not race fabbed up & TIG welded the mounting points.
The Buggy Leaf spring layout on stock C4 is way stronger.
Hit a pothole at 100 mph nothing breaks.
Just your ass tailbone as you bounce your head off the convertible top in our c4's.
It happens driving at night. Fucking Potholes.

I SERIOUSLY doubt this is a surprise to anyone at GM. The rumors all along have been that CID would be going down. It would be pretty simple for them to make a minor change in stroke to land between 6.0 and 6.2 liters for the OHV LT engines. Not a big deal. The LS2 was 6.0 and delivered 400/400 in 2007 so today's tech can deliver MUCH more. Some rumors said the OHC would be 5.5 Liters. The Cad Blackwing is 4.2 and could grow a bit from their if needed, but more likely performance upgrades will be changes revolving around the turbos.
