First C8 Crash
All of the C8s on the dealer tour and in the spy shots and on the street today have been HAND ASSEMBLED - no production line cars. So when GM starts the C8 BG Production line, ALL of these cars (yes including the one you sat in at the dealer) WILL BE CRUSHED.
That said, this one got a bit of a head start.

It will be put into a box truck and GM Safety engineers will go over it with a fine tooth comb. The 'Flight' recorder will be analyzed after the driver has had a week of sleepless nights, and maybe a suspension algorithm will get tweaked. Each affected part will be analyzed to see if it performed as it was designed. They will try to determine if that hidden carbon fiber 'bumper' had been X CM thicker it would have saved $Y in repair. Every event during development is an opportunity to improve the product. Hope no one was hurt during this event.

Smithers, unleash the hounds!
Edelbrock E-Force 1593 & Magnaflow exhaust for that healthy American sound. Before SC 354 RWHP, after SC 484 RWHP. That's all I can do and still pass California smog. |

Since you cannot purchase / take delivery of a C8 yet, I would argue that the first C8 crash is yet to come.

It IS a C8 and it IS a crash.
However, it ISN'T a privately owned C8, so perhaps the BEST description would be "The first C8 Development Crash."
