not exactly, but in that case, it sounds right. she'll read into a lot of things you say, so don't piss her off, because she'll just get more on the defensive and start tearing apart every little thing you say.

why am i writnig this paper again?

why dont i just print out this entire thread

OH HELL! Women will never be happy. Either you dont listen and your not around, "Where have you been, Im sooo lonely,
spend some time with me." or you are always listening and around, "GIMME SOME SPACE!!! I sufficafing here. Why dont you get a job and do something." We cant win guys. It is IMPOSSIBLE to make a woman happy. And if you are acting how she want at the moment, they will save something up to be angry at, "Oh, I see him doing that, Im gonna catch him in like a month or to." No offense ladies but you KNOW its true.

men do, sometimes...like if your wife asks you, "do you want to go to so-and-so's party with me?" you don't want to, but you say something like, "i'll go if you want to go." she obviously wants to, because she asked, and you tried to send out the message "no i don't really want to go" without sounding rude by flat-out saying "no."

does that make more sense?
"i'll go if you want to go." means "i'll go if you want to go."

"no i don't really want to go" means "no i don't really want to go"

nothing else..

Anyone ever hear the saying "A picture is worth a thousand words?" Is not the metamessage a way the woman just wants to be shown she is loved? Is it possible she is doing it subconscienciously because she is not feeling loved or appreciated, and wants her spouse to SHOW her without her having to tell him ? (Makes it more meaningful) If the man is already making the woman feel loved and appreciated would there be a need for the metamessage? Most likely not!
