Where is that Maniac Mechanic?

Hey brian. I finally got one I setup going to the track. Where are you with all your race math? This guy is chasing 1/4 mile times and I always valued your opinions and input on that stuff. Sound off, man.

I think thier Ok.
I was back at the same Race Shop Last year...
You have to watch that Center #3 Crankshaft Thrust Bearing.
Even Torque Tube Corvettes experience Converter Ballooning...
Transfers right back to the LS Thrust main bearing.
Wiped out in seconds.
1000+ RWHP .

We were Feeding LS ENGINES NITROMETHANE LACED FUEL in the Raceshop Chicago Wiz.

VP Q16 .
It has Nitro in it.
Make Krazy TORQUE & HP.

No one could stand the Fumes of the Twin 88 mm 6.0 LS Beast Running but me.
And the Head EFI Tuner.

We were taking VP Q16 Fuel fouled spark plugs.
Rub brisk against a wire brush.
Even in daylight It Explodes with a Bright white & orange flash of light.
Coolest thing to see.

The car is a C5 auto with the 4l60e and LS1. When the vortech supercharger went in I also swapped the diff from 2.73 to 3.42. I have a build thread for the car on this forum here:
https://www.digitalcorvettes.com/foru...d.php?t=283009
And also on the Superchargerforums here:

Looked at the Super Charger Thread.
Kinda neat.
Street Outlaws in Big in Florida now too.
All the action is on Facebook as you know too.

Different market clients.

Still full bore drag racing here.

I was building engines from a bare block.
LS INCLUDED.
Not many guys around here that can do it.

There are a few videos of this car going down the 1/4 mile track at Palm beach speedway. They are here:

And here:

https://www.facebook.com/kevin.scott...4104333295921/

on 20" rims with super low profile tires. Traction is a problem with this machine, lol.

Have to watch those 4L60e's.
I just rebuilt a 4L60e for 1999 Chevy Tahoe 4x4.
Played hookey Monday from work.
Built it and got done Tuesday morning at 2 am.
Covered it on Grumpys site place.
Install this Sunday.

Turbo 400 still way stronger stock.

You know our roots are in restoration. This is a fun thing for us. We can not get this car out of the 11's. But the motor recently let go and we are swapping in the legendary b15 with a 10% overdrive crank pulley.

Runs Strong.

Needs another set of Rear rims with Drag Radials.
If real brave Drag slicks.

Not much weight transfer on launch.

You did a Great job tuning.
Pulls hard and sounds Good.

Drag Racing is different from what your used to.
Chassis setup is important.
What works Road Race is not ideal for fast drag race launches.

Double adjustable shocks on all 4 corners would help.
VIKING COIL OVER SHOCKS POPULAR NOW.

DRIVER TECHNIQUE IS ALOT.
WITHOUT TIMESLIPS HARD TO JUDGE ACCURATE ALL.

The tires just spin. and the ass swings out to the right. I have been trying to use the electronic throttle body as launch control, only allowing to open so far vs. rpm. It needs more grip for sure. It is consistently worth 11.3 - 11.4.
