All you have to do Gunny is take any 700R4 or 4L60e input drum bare unloaded.
Drop it 3 feet off the ground.
Do it so Turbine shaft is pointed up.
The shaft and aluminum drum will break off clean at the topside of the drum
If I took a fully built 455HO Pontiac engine, built it with all forged internals and dropped it from a cargo plane flying at 10,000 feet it would break when it hit the ground. I guess you're not supposed to drop test anything that is not meant to be dropped. ;-) LOL.

Stack two Plates with a Fogger system.

See if the 4L60E holds up.

My Friend Jeff did that with my 1987 Corvette 700R4 input drum.
When it Blew up the rear reaction carrier gearset while we were on Corvette Forum together I went to him for 700R4 Build Tips.
He Is A Pro Transmission Builder.

I seen a blemish.
Possible crack.
Brought it to Jeff.
I was just like You Gunny....700R4 & 4L60E are Bullet proof.
So Jeff looked it over.
Lit up a cigarette.
Looked at Me...Brian You should put a Turbo 400 into your Corvette.
You & Bill Beat the Mother Fucking Shit out of everything.
No Jeff I want the 700R4.
BLAH BLAH INTERNET BULLSHIT TIPS I RAN BY JEFF.
Any Thoughts Jeff.
BRIAN DO YOU TRUST ME ?
SURE JEFF.
TOOK THE INPUT DRUM.
JUST DROPPED IT ON THE CONCRETE FLOOR.
BOOM.
IT POPPED APART.
LOOKED AT JEFF NOW WHAT ?
WELL YOU PUT A TURBO 400 IN NOW.
OR BUY ANOTHER USED INPUT DRUM.
DO YOU HAVE IT JEFF ?
FUCK NO.
OK.
I LOOKED.
HOLY FUCK JEFF IT IS A PIECE OF SHIT.
1/4 INCH OF ALUMINUM THATS IT?
YEAH THATS IT.

There is a company making special O-Ring Nitrogen filled headgaskets.
Superior to MLS.
Better than Comettic.

Seen it on the Main Pontiac forum.
Good for 80 psi + boost.

Of course it is. That aluminum block and heads are so light it floats to Earth like a feather. Hard to break when it's just floating down. And you thought you had me. That's the truth and I'm sticking to it.
