Does the 6 speed manual transmission have a reverse lockout?

Lately when you shift from 4th to 5th, it is easy to slip the shifter past the 5th speed gate, into the reverse gate.

I though there was a reverse lockout that blocked the reverse gate when you were moving?

Yes there is a lockout

Get under the car and check the wiring and connector for anything might be wrong.
You could use a multi meter and have someone shift in/out of reverse and see if there is proper voltage or ground

Or using a OBD-II scanner you could watch the RL parameter and see if RL is being commanded on/off
