I just drove an 07 Z51 3LT A6 and noticed in the DIC that you can access the "Trans Fluid Temp"..... right after the "Coolant Temp".

I have an 07 Z51 2LT manual, and "Trans Fluid Temp" is not a viewable option.

Question: Is this because mine's a manual so there is no sensor measuring that like in an automatic? There's still trans fluid (right?) so you'd think that this would show up - especially on the Z51 that has all the extra coolers...

You have no real need to monitor the temp of a manual tranny. The autotranny slips and spins and pumps the fluid around to move the car, which makes it hot. The manual has no slipping parts so does not generate the heat like an Autotranny so does not need monitored.
