In its stock showroom form it will depend what tires the general puts on it...
Okay well with the hp and tq I mentioned lets just assume it gets decent tires like the C6 Z06 and not R compound ones...I think my speculation is pretty darn close to what its gonna be...What do you guys think??In its stock showroom form it will depend what tires the general puts on it...

The C6 Z has horrible run flats which greatly reduce the ability for the rear to hook. The SS needs tires like the GT3 which are race ready R compounds!Okay well with the hp and tq I mentioned lets just assume it gets decent tires like the C6 Z06 and not R compound ones...I think my speculation is pretty darn close to what its gonna be...What do you guys think??
:agree: Even just decent drivers will be breaking into the 11's with this beast!:surprisedThis is an absurd subject, I love it. Assuming tire size is massive, and the Z06 casually runs 11.5's at 127.....
SS probably

If you ask me, "just decent" drivers need not apply. I believe that to drive a car as wild as the SS will likely be, a trip to a racing school should be mandatory.:agree: Even just decent drivers will be breaking into the 11's with this beast!:surprisedartyon:
:agree: I plan on doing something like that when I get mine.:cheers:If you ask me, "just decent" drivers need not apply. I believe that to drive a car as wild as the SS will likely be, a trip to a racing school should be mandatory.
just my $.02
Racing school for a 10-second car? Come on now! Maybe for road-racing!If you ask me, "just decent" drivers need not apply. I believe that to drive a car as wild as the SS will likely be, a trip to a racing school should be mandatory.

Well how hard is it to drive in a straight line? :rolling: For noob's that think they can handle it, cmon, this thing is going to be a motha fuka on the track. Not everyone with 100K has a clue what a mid-low 10 second car that can run 215-220 MPH on given enough room is about, not to mention controlling this thing on corner entry and exit.Racing school for a 10-second car? That's why I said for road-racing maybe but surely not drag-racing. Once you are in the single digits than you better have some experience but I don't think any kind of school or class will really help anybody. It's all about slowly getting used to something before going crazy in it. We started mine out on 10 lbs and went 10.3 at 143. Then 15 lbs and 9.4 at 151 the next week. Couple weeks later we were going for 18-19 lbs and 9.0's at 155-156. Ended up going 8.78 at 161 on 21 lbs. And throughout that process I was only sideways at 150+ mph twice.Well how hard is it to drive in a straight line? :rolling: For noob's that think they can handle it, cmon, this thing is going to be a motha fuka on the track. I think the tires that Porshce uses on the 911 GT3 are actually rated at 60.They sure offer as an option R-compound tire, as in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup's with a tread rating of 80.:surprised![]()
