1/4 mile times for this beast...? Ring times...?

With 650+ hp and 580+ tq on hand along with a sub 3100lb weight this thing is going to be blazing down the strip! I would bet that it will run atleast a 11.0s 1/4 at 132+mph in stock form! What do you guys think?? Also what kind of times is this SS going to run on the Nurburgring?? I would guess in the low 7:30's like the Enzo and Carrera GT which it is supposed to be competing against.:partyon:

In its stock showroom form it will depend what tires the general puts on it...

Okay well with the hp and tq I mentioned lets just assume it gets decent tires like the C6 Z06 and not R compound ones...I think my speculation is pretty darn close to what its gonna be...What do you guys think??

Runflat Michelins developed specially for this car, 285/30-19 and 335/25-20. I'm assuming the compound will favor performance over tread life.

The C6 Z has horrible run flats which greatly reduce the ability for the rear to hook. The SS needs tires like the GT3 which are race ready R compounds!
This is an absurd subject, I love it. Assuming tire size is massive, and the Z06 casually runs 11.5's at 127.....
SS probably

1/4 mile 10.8 @ 136
Nurburgring: 7:25

:agree: Even just decent drivers will be breaking into the 11's with this beast!:surprised :partyon:

If you ask me, "just decent" drivers need not apply. I believe that to drive a car as wild as the SS will likely be, a trip to a racing school should be mandatory.

just my $.02

:agree: I plan on doing something like that when I get mine.

Racing school for a 10-second car? Come on now! Maybe for road-racing!

Well how hard is it to drive in a straight line? :rolling: For noob's that think they can handle it, cmon, this thing is going to be a motha fuka on the track. Not everyone with 100K has a clue what a mid-low 10 second car that can run 215-220 MPH on given enough room is about, not to mention controlling this thing on corner entry and exit.

That's why I said for road-racing maybe but surely not drag-racing. Once you are in the single digits than you better have some experience but I don't think any kind of school or class will really help anybody. It's all about slowly getting used to something before going crazy in it. We started mine out on 10 lbs and went 10.3 at 143. Then 15 lbs and 9.4 at 151 the next week. Couple weeks later we were going for 18-19 lbs and 9.0's at 155-156. Ended up going 8.78 at 161 on 21 lbs. And throughout that process I was only sideways at 150+ mph twice. :) But it left me with some great videos.
Sideways (I'm in right lane):

Put someone who has never been in a sub 10-second car in m car on kill and they would either crap themselves or put it in the wall (or maybe both).
This car may be in the mid to low tens with a good driver. Heres a vid of a stock Z06 on drag radials running a 10.8...

They sure offer as an option R-compound tire, as in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup's with a tread rating of 80.:surprised ;) :D  :partyon:
It would take a helluva lot of skill to see anything in the single digits, regardless of how much power it's putting down.

A solid rear axle is almost necessary when you're looking at < 10 second 1/4 mile times.

I think the tires that Porshce uses on the 911 GT3 are actually rated at 60.
