Looking for low priced 18"-20" wheel/tire packages that are direct fit, no mod needed, for a 1980 C3. A lot of you have beautiful 20"s on your cars , and I'm sure you paid tremendously for them. I'm trying to stay under $1000.00 (including shipping) for the whole package. If anyone has any info please let me know. I don't mind used if anyone is selling a nice set. thank you very much.

A set of 20's for under 1000 dollars would be a great find. But I don't think it's likely to find any that will look good on our cars. I'll have 19's on the back and 18's on the front eventually when my dad gets bigger tires for his car.

Ya know I really like the C6 wheels on a C3 ( I have many dreams) . I like the positive offset look on the C3. I do agree with the statement that the spacers or adapters used to fit those wheels on a C3 look kinda goofy. If I could find those with a huge negative offset, in size 18" & 19", that would be a dream come true. Since I know thats not gonna happen I'd like to find another 5 spoke chrome or polished rim. The TT2's are probably the choice to go with, but they would have to be a used set with some scratches on them for me to be able to afford them. If anyone has any info on some big ones let me know. I see a few of you on here have 20" TT2's on your C3, how much did they run you? did you have to make mods? "Yellow" what set are you gonna run & and how did you pay for them?
Thanx!!!

I don't know how I'll afford the wheels but the tires will be free of my dad's C5. He wants to get bigger and wider tires. I don't know how long until he gets them though

"Yellow", Are you putting C5 wheels on your 73'? If not, what wheels are you gonna get? Are you going to have to do any mods to get them to fit? 18" and 19" would work for me if I can't find 20"s for a good price. Do you know how much your gonna pay for your set?
Thanx!!!

I'll probably get some wheels that fit a mustang and adapt them on. They are pretty deep and looks very nice. They will only be for the street so I'm not worried about the adapters. And they will be no here near as thick as the ones to adapt c5 wheels. I think they are around 900 dollars

Wow, 2.5K that is way out my realm. You have the sweetest ride around. Thats' the look I was going for. I was hoping to find some used ones that are in fair condition. My car is in great condition, but by any standards, is not a show car. I'm just trying to get that shiny, big look, going on. I did look on E-bay yesterday with no luck. There are alot of 17"s available, but nothing bigger. Were yours custom, or did you find them somewhere in stock? If so, where? Is the your currency worth more or less than the American dollar? I would go as low as 18" if I could find a decently priced set. I'm just really not a fan of the big "truck" tire, muscle car look, for a Vette. Its just to sleek and stealth to have off road tires on it. I know you have answered so many questions, but I want to make sure... 20"X8" will fit stock setup with 4" BS and -11 offset, correct? 5/4.75 bolt pattern, yes? no adapters or spacers? Thank you very much for you help!!

Yea I am doing a big project with my Vette right now and those wheels have to be made custom if you want to go big like 20's and $2500.00 is a good price for the kind of car you have. GroovyJay Knows what he is talking about. Some prices I got were outrageous. I have not found any pull out the box twenties that will fit on a C3 and look good but if you find some that would be great. It is hard to get a good set of 20's for under a grand for a regular everyday car. Also remember that those wheels are very heavy as well so you will want to go for some Billets and thy cost more. Good luck in your search:thumbsup:

Alright, Great. Thanx guys! How about 18"-19" for the same style, do they get any cheaper at those sizes? Has anyone ever seen people selling used ones on e-bay? I've never purchased anything from ebay so I don't really know what gets around on there. Thanx a lot!

you can also look at Eagle rims.... they have a Series 211 that looks just like a TTII but waaaay less. They come in 15, 16, 17, and 20... no 18" or 19".

Thanks. It wasn't too hard to do. Just time consuming....OK it was a total pain in the ass..... but damn fun doing it.:D I don't have "cave your chest in bass thump" but it's up to par where it should be now at least.

By the way...I'm heading to the Bloomington Gold Corvette show near Chicago in June to seak out some rim options myself. I'm fine all day long with what I've got...I just want something different.

... I bet it was hard to do. I'm not at all familiar with electrical work, so even installing a head unit would be trouble for me. Have you been to Bloomington Gold in the past? If not, it's really cool!!!!! I live about 8 miles from the venue where it's held. Ya your right, we could find some sweet wheels there for a better than average price, most likely. I looked into those Eagles, they are very nice but still a little pricey. I love the MADE IN AMERICA factor, it makes me want them even more. Are you near Mauston, Milwaukee, Green Bay, or Door County, WIS. ? Or none of the above?
Thanx.

The best I found for the money were Eagle wheels. They've got the looks and the price is substantialy lower than many others. I did not purchase them as of yet so I'm not sure of the quality, but a few people who do have them have said only good things. So... I think when I get the money, this is where i will spend it. I just searched "Eagle wheels" to find their site. Good luck bro. Let me know if you find anything good. Thanx.
