I got to thinking about this today. Where the heck is the spare tire on the 84'? under the back? And how do you access the spare tire & jack? Also where is the jack?
That info might come in handy sometime. lol!!

Thanks!

Thanks! I would probably have never found the jack handle! lol!
Is the spare a space saver size tire?

Thanks again!

Yes. I guess if you wanted to you could put a full size one in there, but the cover would hang a little lower. I don't even carry a spare any more, just a can of fix a flat.

Hey thank you for your help.

I just pulled the spare out to check it all out. It's flat and even had some water in it.
I have some road service on my insurance, so if anything happened, that would be my first option. I really like the can of "fix a flat" idea.
I'll probably just have the tire checked out and fixed and put it all back just to keep the car as complete as possible.

Thanks again!

I have a perfect spare and tool kit from my 88.

Never used. I removed from car a long time ago.

I am now selling my car (see other thread) and will be getting rid of parts that I don't need including this spare.

PM if interested.

I've never measured, but I would guess a couple of inches. Probably the difference in width between the normal tire and the spare.
