will 315's fit? the wheels are 17 in., currently i have 275/40 on the front and rear, im thinking maybe drag radials, or another sticky tire that is also good in the wet weather

Unless you have ZR1 wheels (17x11") you're best off staying with 275/40-17 or you could go up to 285/40-17 if you wanted.
A 315/35-17 tire would physically fit, but most tire manufacturers don't recommend fitting them to a wheel that's only 9.5" wide.

makes sense, i might go with the 285's, im still contemplating between drag radials, or another tire that is a "all-weather" sticky compound tire
