Hi guys,

My guys have been sending me graphs from the 2008 Corvette all day but I did not get the one with just our headers. The numbers are 418rwhp 413rwtq with just LG Headers no cats.

Here is the graph that includes the K&N Air Charger on this 2008 LS-3 with the M6 transmission.

These numbers with just headers and filter match what a cam only car with headers and a filter use to do. So in effect the extra cubes and air flow in the heads matches what a Cam package would give up in the past.

thanks for your patience. 423rwhp 426rwtq with Just LG Pro Long Tubes and K&N!

Tuning software in a couple of weeks.

Graph below Stock LS3 with M6 trans and dual mode mufflers Vs same car with LG Pro Long Tube Headers and K&N air charger:

Holy Crap! A cam on this motor on top of the mods you've already done and you're looking at stock ZO6 numbers... :partyon: Unbelievable!

Thank you GM for continuing to make the greatest sports car better and better.

Lou,

Great work and great numbers!

Several of the LS2 owners on another forum are claiming your dyno is known to read 20 HP high. Any comments?

I assume they are still in denial, but would like to hear your side. Thanks.

If you look at L.G.'s website www.lgmotorsports.com and click on the results link, it looks like their dyno is right in line with if not maybe a touch lower then most others. Look at the before numbers for any car and they are right in line with what that car makes stock on any other dyno. Doesn't matter which car you look at, C5, C6 etc... the stock numbers are right in line with everyone else. As for this car in particular, I applaud L.G. for getting these numbers to the public with the quickness. And the gains with just a few mods are INSANE!!! Wow is all I can think.

During the tuner dyno wars when the C6 first came out Lou's base dyno readings were in line with every other DynoJet. I have nothing to support this claim.

I would predict that LG makes an effort to keep intake air temperature ambient so no timing retard skews the results. Remember, our PCM starts pulling timing at 86 degrees. Perhaps the dynos that read lower are not making an effort to keep low, consistent IATs. Of course at 87 degrees ambient it's pretty hard to keep the IAT below 86. That's where tuning comes into play.

Lets say they did dyno on average, 10rwhp more (thats what was claimed over at CF). That's still 413rwhp with headers.....not bad at all in any way shape or form. I do see one or two of their LS2 C6 dyno's at 390rwhp with headers, cat-back and tune which seems higher than what I've seen but then they have a few that are right in the norm it would seem. Variances happen on the same dyno I think. I'm impressed regardless. Not enough to go to an 08, I'm at 400rwhp as it is without cam or heads but it has to be nice to get that much power with just a few mods. What matters most anyway are track times....which varies as well :D

Very impressive gains for such minimal mods. I'm always impressed with the improvements being made by the boys at GM R&D. i really dont see how they could make this any better in terms of standard model power and performance. then again i was saying the same things this time in 05.
