Any idea when the 2008 models will show up ?

Will it come with the new TR-6060 Transmission ?

208 Corvette

My understanding is that all 2008 Corvettes will have the new transmission. Production/validation begins last two weeks of June and they should start shipping in July. The new ehanced performance Corvette coming out in January may affect production some after the first of the year but I wouldn't expect it to have an impact before then.

removable top

does anybody know if the 2008 z06 will have a removable top or will it stay the same. And does after market companies who make the z06 a removable top affect in any way the performance of it.

2008 Zo6 Question

This new 6060 trans I hope it is not the auto trans that I heard someone metion to me is it?:huh:

Nope, it is simply an upgraded version of the current trans. This tranny will also be used in the Viper, and is said to get rid of the notchy 2-3 shift.

I have heard from regional marketing that the 2008 will have a slightly higher horse power, and the leather trim is held up until October. I was told to call back on July 23rd for more details on the 2008. Regarding securing a SS, our local dealers will accept names but will not take deposits or guarentee pricing at or above MSRP.

I have some 2008 z06 questions.

1)Is the "Interior Trim Package" available? (center trim plate and twin instrument cluster pods that match exterior color)

2)can I have the Shift-Knob & the Parking Brake Handle an another color?

3)suppose I get the "Linen Custom Wrap" (3LZ) interior (not available yet - I know) Will it look like the pic below (from a base vette) or will there be any changes (for example seat color)?

4) something else I havent understood from what I am reading: is it possible to"combine" the "cashmere" interior with the "Linen leather wrap" to create an "all white" interior?
