Let me ask you all a question. If I were to forge my bottom end and break into 900 to the wheels could I get away with putting SS badges on my car, or would I be a douschebag for doing so??????

I believe it's the same car that we showed last October. The license plate appears to be a match, I'll try to find the original "pre-blurred" pic.

I thought that they may be the same car ... my bet is that they have 2-3 drivetrain mules running around ... that way they can test our all of the different things they test at the same time ...

In any case ... the more pics the better ...

What do you think of the new rumors going around that they will be releasing a Z08 to be part of the lineup with the Z06? (I guess the Z07 tag belongs to an aftermarket company) And the Z08 will be released soon, or at least before the SS (bluedevil)? :surprised

Thanks AP...good stuff.....but I agree with Patrick.

It will be great if we do not see the actual car until the official release.
WHAT WHO ARE YOU? and what have you done with Rick Corvette Conti? The guy who tries to get us all of the info ... the first to talk about the A6 ... and Atomic Orange ...

If GM can keep the car hidden until NAIAS 08 ... more power to them ... but I bet that it is near impossible for them to do that ... this car has been hyped for almost 1.5 years now ... and it will only get worse for the next 8-9 months

Looks like there are different wheels on the vette in the pics. Would luv to see a side shot of them standing still. They don't look like Z06 wheels.

Milford Proving Grounds. Probably within the last several days.
Give the man a cigar!

I found this story on the AutoWeek site with the same pictures as the original post.

Latest spy sighting shows super Vette speeding to showrooms

AutoWeek | Updated: 03/27/07, 9:18 am et
It’s been nearly six months since the last legitimate sighting of Chevrolet’s Corvette SS (“Super Vette Spied,” AW, Oct. 16, 2006), so it’s good to see development work continues to get this special Vette ready for its 2008 introduction as an ’09 model.

Spied while undergoing high-speed runs on the General Motors test track in Milford, Michigan, the car’s 6.2-liter, supercharged, 650-hp V8 reportedly issued a sharp, almost diesel-like rattle on hard acceleration.
