yes, but swap the correct plugs wires as well..

but why woudl you do this? Hot Rod or one of those magazines tested the lobe swap on one motor (same cams just swapped lobe for the correct firing etc..

the was better power the old way, better idle the new way

No unfortunately I don't have any other info.. I cannot even remeber when I read

But as to the point of the original question, if the ECM fails to actuate
the injectors in a way that accomodates the lobe swap, trouble and/or
further expense is the result. I am not familiar with the workings of the
later iterations of EFI in the C4 model run but I vote that the swap will be
transparent to the 7165.
