What does a longer spring bolt do?
I have 2 sets of rear leaf spring bolts 8" and 10". I had the 8" previously installed, and wanted to lower the space between the rear tire and fender lip. Installed a set of 10" bolts and I dont think it sat any lower, and the end of the spring was real close to the tire! How do I lower the rear?

I just changed out my 8" spring bolts to 9" (10" bolts that I cut down to 9", 10" is too long). You will have to settle the suspension after adjusting the spring bolts, back off the nut to lower. Take it for a short ride and then check your measurements again. I just changed the bolts, but haven't lowered it yet. Adjusting the height, changes the alignment. After you set the ride height, you will need an alignment.
