Hello,
My 88 vert stalls when I engage the cluch while the AC is on...seems the AC lowers the RPM by a few hundred. Without the AC the car idles around 700rpm..should I raise the idle?....any thoughts?

thanks, ..

Sounds like the IAC valve may be bad or at least dirty. You should check that first.

Also may want to check the voltage at the ECM terminal B8. It should equal battery voltage when the A/C is activated and the pressure cycling switch is closed. If there is no voltage, the ECM can not raise the idle speed for the A/C and will cause the condition you described.
