Turn key to crank nothing..its an auto trans....new battery....tried to reset by leaving key on deal....jump starter at relay motor starts and dies right away.....I'm lost...any help would be great. much thanks.....also my first post very happy to be here...........

It is very hard to diagnose electrical/electronic gremlins on these forums, without being there in person to help figure out what's going on. My only suggestion is to seek qualified auto techs for help. Sorry, I am of no help. Maybe someone can come up with a solution.

Does your dash light up? If so, what code are shown? Are there any?

I had this issue also, my problem was quite simple. The chip on the key wore out from putting it in the ignition key slot so many times. I started using my backup key, and haven't had the the problem for the last 5 years. If you do not have another key, you will have to go to the Chevy dealer with your registration to get a new one, and even if this is not what is causing your non starting problem, it is always a good idea to have a spare key.
