after trying r-12 again, and then trying r-134a, which was disappointing, i found another product from autorefrigerants.com

it's called "enviro safe" and when i installed that over 2 years ago it was like having a new a/c in my car. nothing had to be changed, no hoses, no "o" rings, just evacuate what you have in there and install that the same as r-12.

the only complaint i get now is from my wife who complains that her nose gets too cold while driving.

if anyone has some a/c issues in their C3 check it out. i've read all the topics on it and the EPA stuff. even tho it may be a little illegal (according to EPA) it doesn't make your car any more illegal than modified exhaust. the "flash" point is LOWER than r-134a, so that is NOT an issue.

the people at that place will be more than happy to answer any questions you have. they were great on the phone and emailed me back when ever i asked about something.
