Hello Mr. Conti, I have a few quick questions for you. In the wake of the C6 SS or w/e it will be called, I have seen a few people mention that they already put cash down for reserves and whatnot on the car and I was wondering how this works. Can you really reserve the car or put your name on the list before they actually show the car, and if so, how long until it becomes near impossible to get the car at a reasonable price without a reserve. Do you forsee being able to talk to a dealer next years summer, sometime before release and arranging a purpose or should i highly think of putting some cash down on the car now, and if not now, when?

Also, since I live in Cali, and we have some stricter emmission laws and such, because i saw a lot of cars and bikes with minor tweaks to meet regulations? (I'm not quite sure of that, correct me if I don't know what I'm talking about.) Also, if you buy the car out of state do you still have to pay the gass guzzler tax the state imposes or is that a country wide thing?

thank you for taking the time to read my post, sorry if I am a little unimformed of the process.

sorry for delay .....juts got back in WIsconsin and for those that did not know. My family is still in Ohio since my wonderful opportunity here at EVS Random Lake, with Eric and the gang...not only am I waiting on my oldest to get out of schoool, the wife is due with our 4th....was suppose to be a scheduled operation the other day.....NO GO....so back on the road, 455 miles back to WI.:thud:

What scares me, I'm getting used to this drive...now I need some bluejean overalls and a spit cup and I'm all set:rolling: :smack

Any way my friend, heading back this week and very much appreciate the posts and the understanding.....

In regards to the people putting money down on lists I think are in for a surpirse...we have folks waiting in the wings and I apprciate that...as we get closer.....almost a year from now, we will talk serious about how to proceed. The thing I do not want to do is to promise a bunhc of cars and not deliver...that has happended a lot and not how this car should be represented.

No we have no idea on pricing....is the car going to sell for a premiumn, based on what I know now...sure I believe so, but I won't play games as other dealers plan to....right now, taking serious names of interest and we'll be in touch further down the road when there is something for real to discuss.

For us to as dealers, you put your trust into someone and write these lists, knowing that we are only getting so many...so you hold a spot..all the while being sold out of spots...you call the guy you're holding a spot for and he is out or on another list......agian, many games when it comes to these true limited and highly sought after cars. I just hope we have many to offer, the true availability, will determine the price...please stay tunded and if you'd like to be on the serious list, please email me....if you prefer to wait for a different type of deal, I respect that too. Hope we can help if not shed the proper light on the situation.

Many thanks....now be careful when asking me a question... I'm not afraid to talk. Thanks again for the post

Thank you very much for the response. I am interested in getting on a serious list and i will shoot you off an e-mail in the comming days when i have more time to do so. My only worry is that i'll be out of the loop until its too late and the car is all but sold out everywhere (1,500 units like estimated is a really small amount). So far from what I have seen, you are a great dealer and I have no doubt that i will be comming to you first for business (California car dealers tend to be sharks from experience, dunno if i've had plain bad luck or if its mostly true). Anyways, with as much as this car costs I won't be buying one off the lot, especially if it has different upgrade packages for the interior, so I suppose it really doesn't matter who i'm buyin it from location wise cause its comming from Bowling Green anyways. I'll be in touch in the upcomming days.

Rick..You are the only guy that I trust in this ever changing Corvette marketplace:cheers:

Also!! I do remember what you told me about the Blue Devil/SS/Z07:huh:
"Every dealer that you have spoken with told you that they would not sell this car for any amount of money" "Those who are lucky enough to maybe get one will keep it for bragging right's"

Is this still your thought's???

the nice thing with us, as we did with Z06...if we take an order, you're getting a car and I think that is the right way to handle it...
I know dealers that wrote over 100 Z06 orders....to get 3 cars(?!?!).....now what message are you sending? besides that you are clueless:laughing:

this will be a unique a special time for Corvette. Trust me the world knows who we are, this car IMHO is a statement car.
