Today, for the first time, my DIC gave me a ding with the warning that my Active Handling was warming it. It was in the high 70's today, and this is the first time I've ever seen this. Stayed on for proabably a moment or so, then went off and everything has been fine. Any ideas as to what is causing this, what to expect, would be greatly appreciated. Thank goodness for extended warranties!! :)

Wow, 2 of us on the same day. :) That's wierd! Doesn't appear to be anything, yet. Let's hope it was a one off. I had been driving her for probably 1/2 hours, parked, went to a movie, then when leaving, this is when it happened. Strange!

Make that 3 for the day. Mine came on while I was driving through the parking lot at work. I had it come on before in the winter time, but like you said it was 70 + outside (I'm in Atlanta GA ). So I have no idea why it came on today.

That is normal for a C5 system I had it explained to me once back in 2002 but can't remember why it does it. But its not a problem...My 01 C5 did it all the time for the 5 years I owned it.

From what I understand ..the active handling warming up coming up on the D.I.C is because when you start the car up...you turn the wheel in the first 50 ft...

So the active handling warming up signal comes up on the D. I . C

C4c5 specialist told me not to worry about this as the system is just resetting itself.

(when I pull out of the drive way I often have to turn the wheel early on to successfully navigate my driveway.

Hope this helps.

Well, at least if we hear differently, it doesn't sound like anything to worry about, that's good. That's for the info everyone.

JB is right, nothing to worry about. It is just the computer resetting itself
