Hey Gang, Time has come to replace those plastic end links on my 2001 Coupe. Bar is stock, and my Coupe is lowered 1/2-3/4 of an inch on stock bolts. Since it is lowered, is the car causing too much pre load on the bar with the stock end links? If so, then the adjustable end links are the way to go, But then again, do I need them? Thanks for your replies gang, you are the best:cheers:

Thanks for your reply maniac, But, do I need them? I would much rather spend the extra $ on something that I need rather than just bragging that I have them:cheers:

Bytheway, My coupe is a true Z51 car:lookinup:

hey markmark, with the stock bar and just lowered a little bit there's no reason to get the adjustable endlinks. There will be no tangible benefit and they're more likely to cause noise than the stock pieces.

Lowering the car doesn't put any pre-load in the sway bar. The whole bar will rotate in the bushings to accomodate the new nominal position.

Now if you want some more bang for your buck get a new set of sway bars. The Johnny O'Connell bars from afe (formerly Pfadt) are a great street/track pair that will keep the car balanced. And they come with adjustable end links!

Thank you for your reply lsejlowe. I was super hesitant to lower the car in the first place as it is a Z51 packaged car, but that 4WD look was killing me. I do believe that is rides and handles better now altho many are opposed to lowering our cars. The end links issue I seem to have finally found and gotten a professional reply about. I super appreciate the info
