I was cruising on I-45 today and had to slow down to a crawl due to a traffic jam. Next thing I know this truck has its brakes locked up and headed for me at a high rate of speed. The truck missed me by only a foot or so. I got out of the vette and asked this guys what was up, and he said he did not see my brake lights.

I have stock brake lights on my 01 C5. They are not to bright on a sunny day it seems.

I have read on this forum about led rear tail lights and how much brighter they are. Anyone here have them installed? Are they bright even in day light hours?

Who carries these? I want to modify my brake lights so this possibly will not happen again.

Thanks,
Darrell

Glad to hear everything worked out.
The fact of the matter is that the dickwad wasn't paying attention, it is not that he didn't see your lights.
If traffic was coming to a crawl, you are telling me that he didn't see all the other cars stopping either. I really wouldn't worry about your lights not being bright enough. JMHO

The led lights are 100x brighter than the stockers. I only got them because they look a lot better on the car, but I have gotten a ton of compliments on how bright they are so...
Especially down here in Houston, I think I need a flashing sign telling the morons that I'm on the road. They're terrible down here
