You will have to use 2" or 2 1/2" adaptors, They bolt on using your studs, then they have another set of studs to bolt the wheels on with.

I have 2.5" spacers running on my 1980.
I've had absolutely no problems whatsoever with them.
Stock style Vette Y2k rims.
Stock wheel studs
Spacers are from ebay and are Hub Centric (< $200 shipped)
Poly bushings everywhere
Bilstein sport shocks
Yes, I've tested the suspension and tire/wheel/spacer setup, LOL.

Your Vette look really good with those tires and wheels.
Did you lower the car or is it stoce height. I'm working
on my 81 coupe (pics on my sight 1stvtt1981)?
I like those wheels but on some cars they have too much space between the top of the tire and the wheel wells.
Are your tires 255 40 17?
Good thread, lots of info to be had. Thanks.

Some aftermarket wheels have indentions between the stud holes that will clear the factory studs when you use the spacers. Most OEM wheels do not have these clearance holes. If you want a 2.5" spacer, then you will need to cut your existing studs down below this length, or swap out the studs for OEM ones.

I put 1" spacers on my 72 so the American Racing Torq Thrust Originals will fill out the rear fenders. The wheels cleared the factory studs just fine.
