Anyone remember the rain tops?

They used to make a canvas top that just popped on the c-4 so if you were out and about and rain popped up you could just throw it on, does anyone remember those? Know where I can find one?
Thanks

This what your looking for?

saw em in ecklers cat, years ago...hideously overpriced (as most stuff in eck-eck is, like $5 for ONE lugnut when my local auto parts store sells the same for $o.60)...never seen a set in real time, guess vette owners are not as dumb as ....
That's the one. Damn I completely missed that while looking. Thanks:thumbsup: Not real sure it's worth $300 bucks though.
Save you r money steve. It's a POS! I have one. They fade quickly, after some on and off time, they begin to wear and they never really seal well enough that you can drive the car without it leaking:(

They fasten on the inside with velcro (that loves peeling off in the heat inside the car) a couple of hand fastners at the point where you would normally fasten on the hard/glass top and and a strap around the rearview mirror that continually loosens itself while driving.

Like I said, I'd save my money if I were you.

PS. When I called the douchebag in Texas (IIRC?) that produced these things, he could not warranty the canvas top. Said they got some bad material but he could not replace it. Fawk him:down:

Geez, yea that's not worth it all. :WTF

Steve, how about I take your $300 and I'll keep you posted on the forecast in your area.

Thanks for the info. By looking at yours do you see a way to mod it so that it would be better? I want to eliminate carrying around my normal top and have something for just in case, ya know.
Sorry you wasted your $300 on it. I hate a company that won't stand behind it's products.

Yeah, there might be? First this I'd have to do is get some material to re-cover it. I'll throw it in the back of the elephant chaser. I may be in the Riverview area either monday or tuesday evening. IF so I'll give you a call and we can take a look at it.

sounds good.
I've always wondered about these as well, as I like to have the top out on a long trip, but hate losing the cargo space with the top back there.
Sounds like the same crap 1st Gen Viper owners had to deal with.
