Auto Seat Problem

Sometimes my seat automatically moves to the
programmed position and sometimes it doesn’t.

Anyone else experiencing this?

I've been meaning to post a thread about this and always forget. I took mine to the dealer to get the oil changed and it corrected itself and then after a couple days the problem was back. Now the seat will not go back when I open the door like it is supposed to. I'm hoping there will be a recall for this.
Are you carrying the same key all the time? If you switch keys your memory setting for let's say key no. 1 wont work if you carry key no. 2 vs 1. There are settings that can be programmed for each key for two different people, and also the center button can be programmed to the exit position for getting in and out of the car...
I have never used key 2 and the only time I have changed my seat settings since I found what I wanted was after they stopped going to the spot they are supposed to go. There is no reason for them not to recall to the correct position. The center button was originally programmed to be the exit position and does not work even when pressed unless I reprogram it all the time. Anyone else?

Yes.

Do you have an auto or 6spd manual?...because if the parking brake isn't up on the manual the seat won't recall.

Could it be you don't use the parking brake everytime you park the car?

I know what you are talking about and it still doesn't work even when the brake is set. Since I am the only one that drives the car I use seat position 2 to park. It angles the mirrors down so I can see the curb I am backing up next to. That usually works fine, but sometimes if the seat does move back into the position that I set to get out then it won't move back into seat position 1 or 2 unless I move the seat forward with the control closer to position 1. Then if I press the button it will move the seat to the correct position for button 1. Hope that didn't totally confuse everyone.

Auto.

And, I know it’s setting because I always get the 2 beeps.
It works correctly about 70% of the time. But, it’s getting
worse. Each time it doesn’t work, I always reset it.

I just reset mine. I'll let you know how long it lasts.

In the beginning it will last several days.
Then the time period will get shorter and shorter.

I have an '05 took it three times. They kept resetting and clearing codes and it would work for a few days and go bad again. Finally it didn't move at all or would move while driving. The dealership finally replaced the computer Module local interface unit in seat (part no 15296303). Been working for two months.
auto seat problem

I have a 2005 that had the same seat problem. Dealer replaced the Module 8 months ago and problem was solved
