Patrick,

What program are you using to shrink your pics to 100x100? I've tried a couple of different programs and still wind up with fuzzy pictures shrinking down that far...

Hi Brad. First, "sharpen" your image before you shrink it to 100x100. Then, sharpen it again after you resize it.

I use Paint Shop Pro 7.0 ...

Thanks for the tip, Patrick. Works pretty well!

After a little experiementing, it looks like my larger pics (2272x1704) are great for printing, but get pretty distorted when I shrink them down to icon size. Pics taken at 640x480 seem to shrink "better".

Doesn't make sense, but that's what seems to work...

Why wait for 10,000 posts! How about after 1 post!!???

Create an avatar that is 100x100 or less in size, click the "user CP" button and find the place where you can browse and upload it.

Have fun!
Just want to thank you for making the avatar for me. I will still play around with my computer to see what I'm doing wrong. I was having trouble getting it below 7900 bytes. What is the trick?

This is a great site. ;)
