Back From First Strip Run - SHOCKING UPDATE

Ran on the Sunday at a Ricer event F class (8 or more cyl) ... times as follows

First the sob story...........

The track had just been resurfaced for the new season and was very slippery (rained all weekend). NO TUNE with CATs, Speedo not working, Rear CV gaiter split/come off, exhaust hanging and very very difficult to put into reverse :-(


but the kinda good bit......

Run 1. 13.4 111mph
Run 2. 13.2 111mph
Run 3. 13.0 112mph ......... won the class got a trophy!!!

i'd left by the time of the results but my friends collected the trophy and also said the time was announced as 12.8!!!

i double checked this by calling a fellow Corvette club member who was still there and he heard 12.8 too.... how can this be im gonna check with the track??? surely a mistake! a nice one though!

Tires would help you get into the low 12's check out BFG G-Force D/R's got them on the back of my 84 and I can cut 1.7's practice your launch 60' is the most important time of the 1/4

That's one hell of an excuse list. :laughing:

But, your MPH says your car is strong. Have them spray down more VHT and you'll get the ET's to back it up.:thumbsup:
